Planning, Regulations & Permits
The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) is a community-based environmental agency working to prevent loss of life and property due to flooding, erosion, and to conserve and enhance natural resources within the watershed. By taking a preventative approach to natural hazards and natural heritage issues, social disruption, loss of property and loss of life can be avoided.
The Planning Act is a tool to proactively identify and regulate hazards and natural features and areas through the Planning Process, while the Conservation Authorities Act and the relevant permit approval process can regulate activities not subject to a planning application.
